Costa Rica Named Happiest Country In The world

Charles Surgeon once said; "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

Costa Rica has been voted as one of the happiest places in the world this week by an organization from University of California, Berkley. They asked over 40,000 students how they would rate their life in 4 categories and this fantastic, small, Central American country ranked number one.

It's ironic that Flamingo Towers, our up-scale condominium community in Brasilito on the Guanacaste Coast, sits right in the middle of happiness. With 23 units in the 3rd phase tower, this desirable place to live exudes nothing less than that feeling of freedom and euphoria.

This week finished well at Wuxi with several technical successes. The federation services with "Microsoft in the Cloud" finally came together with no nagging little errors and a couple of other small things I had been unable to get to were rather easily solved when I finally got to them. So I think everyone involved would judge the overall trip a success. Brad and Kevin took me to a Mexican food place downtown that turned out to be the best I have had in China. The manager worked at the international school while making plans for the restaurant, so he made it a point to visit our table. I had never been to that old district of Wuxi, and would have enjoyed walking along the canal if it hadn't been raining and blowing.

One of the least visited countries in Central America, many expats still find their way to Nicaragua for the solace it offers. Nestled between Honduras to its north and Costa Rica to its south, Nicaragua is a palm tree dotted safe-haven, and is seen by many of its residents as a recluse from the mass tourism that overruns other more traditionally popular destinations. The outdated image of Nicaragua as a war torn country has, despite its inaccuracy, limited the number of travelers that have chosen to visit the country. The vast expanse of dramatic, untouched coastlines meet lush rainforests on shore, a sight anyone would be sorry to miss, but outsiders seldom bare witness to this wondrous elemental beauty.

Rebecca, author of the blog 'the San Pedro Scoop', traded bonds on Wall Street before she found her home in Belize. On her first summer trip to the island of Ambergris Caye, she couldn't shake the feeling that the universe had somehow brought her here. She fell head over heels for the warmhearted locals, teeming diversity and natural beauty she found in abundance on the small Caribbean island. When the time arrived for her planned return to the United States, she experienced more than the typical end-of–vacation blues. It was like she was leaving the place that was meant to be her home all along. Six months later, Rebecca packed up her Manhattan apartment and joined a growing number of expats flocking to Belize from around the globe.
